Chris Smither (born November 11, 1944 in Miami, Florida) is an American folk/blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter. His music draws deeply from the blues, American folk music, modern poets and philosophers. He used to have a platform made of wood for his feet, that was "plugged in". the sound was his percussion. Beyond that, it was usually just him and a guitar, but what a performer!
